Myanmar is considered to be one of the most "closed" countries in the world, second only to North Korea. Yet, when the first Burmese issue of "Light for Life" was printed in Yangon, all 3500 issues were distributed within the first weekend. We thank God for the wonderful opportunity he has given Searchlight to help encourage and build up the church in that country. Searchlight is now distributing 4,000 copies of each issue on a quarterly basis.

As with all the Searchlight magazines that are being distributed in the more needy parts of the world, there is always a need for finances to print and distribute the Burmese magazine. The translation, printing, and distribution of each issue costs $660 (£330). With four issues a year, the annual budget is $2640 (£1320). Please pray with us that God will supply the necessary finances to continue to provide this material for the Christians in this difficult country.
