It is with excitement that we are able to send you this latest update from Searchlight Ministries. As we have repeatedly stated over the past few months, the primary reason for our return to the USA was to re-establish Searchlight’s activity of literature distribution and teaching around the world. The exchange rate between the US Dollar and the British Pound meant that we were losing over half of all support money simply by exchanging it into Pounds. We felt that this was poor stewardship of the finances with which God had provided us. The fact that we are now able to utilize 100% of all financial support, instead of less than 50% of it, means that we are again in the process of printing and distributing "Light for Life" in numerous languages and dialects in many countries.

We are now looking ahead to 2008 with a sense of excitement and anticipation at the opportunities that are before us. If you would like to be involved with a specific language or nation, these are the projected budgets for each language for the coming year. Each magazine is produced four times a year.

• Please continue to pray for Mike and Anne Barton. They are still waiting for their visas that will allow them to move to the USA as Permanent Residents. This is turning into a long and trying time for the Bartons. Until the visa process is completed they are not able to do any traveling or ministering outside the United Kingdom. Please pray that God will bring this stage of their transition to a completion so that they can continue the work to which He has called them.

• Pray for the many countries (now over 60) that are being reached with the various editions of "Light for Life." Please pray that we will continue to have open doors into the countries that are in turmoil. Recently Myanmar, Pakistan, and the Philippines have been in the news due to tragedy and terror. We want to encourage the church in these lands as much as we possibly can.

• Please pray for Bruce Garrison who will be meeting with a representative from Tanzania on Tuesday, October 23rd regarding the Swahili translation. He will also be participating in two missions events in the Indianapolis area during the first week in November. Please pray for him during that time.
